Minister Pralhad Joshi Travels to Germany for Green Energy Conference

New Delhi: Union Minister for Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi has embarked on a three-day trip to Germany to strengthen India’s cooperation in sustainable development and the renewable energy sector.
The minister will travel from Delhi to Germany today and is set to participate in the Hamburg Sustainability Conference on October 7 and 8. Key industry leaders in the green energy sector are also expected to be part of this conference, Joshi informed.
During the Hamburg conference, he will present India’s stance on the role of green hydrogen in decarbonizing green shipping and mobility sectors.
The visit to Germany aims to enhance India’s international cooperation in renewable energy and sustainable development, he noted.
Bilateral Meetings: He mentioned that he would hold bilateral meetings with senior officials from Germany, the United Kingdom, and other countries regarding cooperation related to sustainable development, the role of green hydrogen, and the need to increase financial assistance.
Strengthening India-Germany Relations: This trip is expected to further strengthen the relationship between India and Germany. Additionally, it will accelerate the expansion of renewable energy worldwide, he stated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the importance of India-Germany bilateral relations, and discussions will be held regarding the gaps between the leaders of both countries and the government’s plans.
At the RE-INVEST 2024 conference held in Gujarat, both countries provided a platform for investment in renewable energy, showcasing India’s efforts on an international level, said Minister Pralhad Joshi.
